Introduction

This Privacy Policy will inform you of what personally identifiable information is collected on the website; how the information is used; with whom the information is shared; how you may opt out of certain uses of your information; the security procedures in place to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of your information and how you can correct or update your information.

This Privacy Policy applies only to the privacy of users of the MondoTag website and MondoPlayer.  It does not apply to third party sites that may be accessed through the MondoTag website or MondoPlay, to advertisers or to other providers of products and services MondoTag does not own, control, employ or manage. 

By using the MondoTag website and MondoPlayer you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Collection of Information

MondoTag is the owner of the information collected on our website and through MondoPlayer. We do not collect any personal information from a visitor to our website unless that visitor explicitly and intentionally provides it. If you are simply browsing our website, we do not gather any personal information about you.

Information You Provide

You may explicitly and intentionally provide us with and consent to our collection of certain personal information in the following ways:

Free MondoPlayer Upgrade

When you download the Free MondoPlayer Upgrade you will be asked to provide the following information: email address, screen name, password and an answer to a secret question. You are asked to provide this information so we can set up your MondoTag account.  We use your email address to send you updated information and to contact you on behalf of other users sending you messages (e.g. to share a Stream with you or to add you as a collaborator on a Stream).  We use your account information to display relevant advertising and content to you.  You can change your account information here.

Save a Stream

If you save a Stream, links to this Stream will be saved in your MondoTag account.

Search for a Stream

If you search for a Stream we may collect details about your search queries and how you interact with ads and content to help us tailor content and online advertising to your interests.

Publish a Stream

If you publish a Stream on the MondoTag website you will be asked to provide certain required information and certain optional information.  The following information is required: Title, Description, and Rating. This information is used to publish the Stream on a wiki page on the MondoTag website.  The following information is optional: personal profile information including your city and country of residence, a link to your personal website, a description of yourself.  This optional information is displayed on the wiki pages of Streams you publish or collaborate on and may be viewed by users of the MondoTag website.

Invite Friends

You can invite your friends to share or to collaborate on Streams you have created by providing their screen name or email address.  We may store your friends contact information to deliver your message to them.

Participate in the MondoTag Community

When you participate in Discussion Forums or other community features or publish or collaborate on a Stream, you are creating Public Content which we may store and display to other users or use for promotional purposes. You should be aware that any personally identifiable information you submit in your Public Content can be read, collected, or used by other users, and could be used to send you unsolicited messages. You are solely responsible for the personally identifiable information you choose to submit. You are also responsible for using the Discussion Forum and Streams in a manner consistent with the Terms of Service and any applicable rules.

Information Collected Automatically

We automatically collect information in the following ways when you interact with us:

Log Information

When you visit our website, we automatically collect statistics about your visit which we store in server logs. This information does not identify you personally, but gives us details about your visit to our website. It may include: the date and time, your IP address, your Internet Service Provider, which pages you visit, your browser type, referring/exit pages and hardware information such as crashes, system activity and hardware settings. We use these aggregate statistics to help us improve the online experience of our users and to better tailor advertising to you.

Mobile Device Information

When you download or use apps created by MondoTag, we may receive information from your mobile device such as your hardware model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, mobile network information and your location. We may associate your device identifiers with your MondoTag account.

MondoPlayer Registration Key

When you download MondoPlayer it includes a unique Registration Key. This key and information about your installation such as the operating system type and MondoPlayer version number may be sent to MondoTag when you install or uninstall MondoPlayer or when MondoPlayer contacts our servers for automatic updates. We use this key to store user preferences, for ad selection and to help us determine user trends so we can improve the quality of our service.

Local Storage

We may collect and store information (including personal information) locally on your device using browser web storage and application data caches.

Third Party Services

We allow you to access third party services such as Facebook and Twitter to share your selected content with those services.  You are solely responsible for your privacy settings on third party services.

Cookies and Anonymous Identifiers

We may use cookies, web beacons or similar anonymous identifiers to collect and store information when you use MondoPlayer or visit the MondoTag site. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer. We may use cookies and anonymous identifiers to help us provide tailored content and advertisements to you. You can remove cookies by following directions provided in your Internet browser’s “help” file.

Because cookies allow you to take advantage of some of the essential features of MondoPlayer and the MondoTag website we recommend you leave them turned on. If you reject cookies, you may still use our website and MondoPlayer, but your ability to use some areas of our site will be limited. 

Managing Your Information

You can manage your personal information on this site through My Account.   You may receive communications from us.  If you close your account or indicate that you do not wish to receive emails we may still need to contact you as required by law or on legal matters, for example to inform you of any updates to our Terms of Service or to this Policy.

Sharing Information

We use the information you provide for the purposes disclosed in this policy. We share your information only with those individuals who need it to provide you with service.  Third parties who perform services on our behalf, are contractually restricted from using your information in any manner other than helping us provide you with services.

The only circumstances under which personally identifiable information will be shared in a manner inconsistent to that stated above is to comply with a the law or legal process, to protect or defend the reputation, rights or property of MondoTag or others, to enforce our Terms of Service or to respond to claims against our website.

Third Party Advertising

In order to provide free access to our content, we display advertisements tailored to your interests. We determine your interests using information you make available to us when you interact with our site or use MondoPlayer to do things such as create, collaborate on or play Streams. This helps us provide you with more useful and relevant ads.

Third parties serve some of the ads on the website and in MondoPlayer.  We do not send any individualized personal information to them, but they may have access to information that they obtain through cookies or that you share with them yourself. Third party advertisers may assume that users who interact with or click on a personalized ad or content are part of a group that ad or content is directed towards (e.g. users in the Midwest who watched videos about skiing).These advertisers are not covered by our Privacy Policy. You should contact them directly for more information about their privacy practices.

Aggregate Information

We may share non-personal information in the aggregate with third parties relating to user behavior in connection with actual or prospective relationships with those third parties, such as advertisers and content distributors.  For example, we may disclose the number of users that have been exposed to or clicked on an ad.

Links

The website or MondoPlayer may contain links to third party websites not affiliated with MondoTag.  Except as disclosed in this policy, we do not share your personal information with those third parties and we are not responsible for their privacy practices.  You should read the privacy policies on third party websites.

Children under 13 Years Old

The website is intended for general audiences and is not directed to children under 13.  We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.  If you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us.  If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information without parental consent, we take steps to remove such information and terminate the child’s account.

Business Transitions

Circumstances may arise for strategic or business reasons, where MondoTag decides to sell, buy, merge or reorganize its business.  Such a transaction may involve the disclosure of personal information to prospective or actual purchasers, or the receipt of it from sellers.  It is MondoTag’s practice to seek appropriate protection for information in these types of transactions. 

Security

We take security seriously. We have put security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of any information we receive from you. However, there is always some element of risk involved in communicating information over the internet. To minimize this risk, we encrypt all information that you submit to the MondoTag website using the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol.

Changing or Deleting Personal Information

If you would like to change or delete any information in our records please contact us. We may ask you to verify your identity before we can act on your request.

We may reject requests that are unreasonably repetitive, require disproportionate effort, risk the privacy of others or would be impractical.

Changes to Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. If changes are made to this Privacy Policy and/or the way we use your personally identifiable information we will post the changes on the first page of the Privacy Policy. If the changes are material we will post a more prominent notice. If the use of your personally identifiable information changes you will have a choice as to whether or not we use your information in this different manner.  By continuing to access or use the website or MondoPlayer after those changes become effective you agree to be bound by the revised Policy.
